Aaron Sherzada is a research/administrative assistant to Michael J. Perrotti, Ph.D. Aaron is responsible
for conducting and organizing research in Dr. Perrotti's internal medicine, psychometrics, psychological testing and in
behavioral sciences. He also serves as an intermediary for health care and legal professionals, as well as manages services to patients. He speaks Spanish, Farsi, and French and assists as a translator for non-English speaking clients. Aaron is a graduate from University of California, Irvine (2011) with a BA in cognitive psychology and political sciences. He has a minor in film and media studies. Aaron also has a certificate in crime scene investigation from University of California, Riverside. Aaron plans to attend a graduate program in the near future and pursue a career as a forensic psychologist or criminal profiler.
Sheriece Hooks is a former research/administrative assistant to Michael J. Perrotti Ph.D. She is responsible for the gathering and organization of research in Dr. Perrotti's criminal, civil, and family law areas as well as health disciplines such as neurology, internal medicine, psychometrics, psychological testing and behavioral sciences practices. Her work also includes interfacing with health care and legal professionals, as well as assisting with management of services to patients. She recently completed and recieved her Bachelor of Arts degreee in Psychology at Chapman University with a minor in Women's Studies. She is now enrolled in a Masters Program in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University in Malibu and is working hard to reach her goal of becoming a Child Psychologist. She is passionate about working with children and helping people in need. She expresses these passions through her job and community service such as feeding the homeless.
Maribel Contreras is our Manager of Practice Operations. She is a research/administrative assistant to Michael J. Perrotti Ph.D. Her responsibilities include gathering and organizing research for Dr. Perrotti's criminal, civil, and family law areas as well as health disciplines such as neurology, internal medicine, psychometrics, psychological testing and behavioral sciences practices. She is also fluent in Spanish and assists as a translator for non-English speaking clients. She brings an amazing amount of energy and innovations to the position. She came to us with great experience from a legal office. She is graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Criminal Justice. Her career goals are to pursue graduate study in Psychology. She finds particular interest in Criminal Psychology. Outside of work she likes to spend time with her toy poodle Fabiana and regularly volunteers at the Orange County Probation Department.
Eliza Easdale is a former research assistant to Michael J. Perrotti, Ph.D. She excels at highly detailed summaries of research, as well as outlining of forensic cases. She provides excellent insights on forensic matters and is creative in developing research applicable to cases. She is multi-talented and also interacts with Legal and Healthcare professionals. She graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Human Services. She also works as a respite care worker, and outside of work she likes to read, write, research, and has recently begun to do yoga.
Kathleen Shelton is a former research/administrative assistant to
Michael J. Perrotti, Ph.D. Her responsibilities include gathering and organizing research for Dr. Perrotti's criminal, civil, and family law areas as well as health disciplines such as neurology, internal medicine, psychometrics, psychological testing and behavioral sciences practices. She is a recently graduated from the University of San Francisco in May 2016 with a degree in Psychology. She hopes to continue on to a Ph.D program focusing on Forensic Psychology with particular interest in Human Trafficking. In her free time, she volunteers with a non-profit organization that helps immigrants and refugees in Orange County. She also enjoys reading, yoga, and playing with her dog, Daisy.
Allison Moulton is a research/administrative assistant to Micheal J. Perrotti, Ph.D. Allison excels at detailed research summaries
as well as outlines of reports. She is responsible for the generation and organization of research in Dr. Perrottii's internal medicine, psychometrics, and psychological testing in regards to behavioral sciences in addition to civil, family law, and criminal areas. She also serves as an intermediary for health care and legal professionals, as well as manages services to patients. Allison attends Cal State Fullerton in pursuit of her BA in Psychology and will graduate in 2018, she will continue further with her education to pursue her doctorate in Neuropsychology. She has experience in the research field and profiecency with research report writing, as well as experience with English as an ESL tutor. Outside of work she enjoys reading, exercising, and researching.
Yama Fazli is a research assistant for Dr. Michael J Perrotti, Ph.D. His responsibilities include gathering and synthesizing research in areas of study such
as psychology, neurology, psychiatry, and internal medicine, among others.
Yama graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology and received his Master of Science degree in Global Medicine with an emphasis in Healthcare Management from the University of Southern California. Outside of the office, Yama works in the healthcare field, having previously been an ER scribe and currently shadows physicians in clinic and volunteers in the community. He is an avid reader, daily runner, and enjoys spending time at the beach with friends and family.
Shannon Egan is a former research/administrative assistant to Michael J. Perrotti, Ph.D.
Her responsibilities include office admin duties, researching and gathering information pertinent to cases given in areas such as criminal, civil, and family law as well as neurology, psychological testing, and internal medicine. She is thorough when researching and is very in-depth when detailing and organizing the information. She is a recent graduate from Chapman University earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Law, Justice, and Social Control. She plans to attend graduate school to obtain a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in forensics, ultimately to become a Forensic Psychologist. Shannon takes particular interest in areas such as evaluations of sexual offenders, criminal behavior, child abuse, false confessions, and other related areas. Outside of work she likes to exercise, spend time with friends, and travels home to see her family in Santa Cruz, California.
Emily Ewing is a former research/administrative assistant to Michael J. Perrotti, PhD.
Her responsibilities include extensive researching and gathering of information pertinent to cases in areas such as criminal, civil, and family law as well as health
disciplines including neuropsychology, psychometrics, psychological testing, and behavioral science practices. She is very detail oriented when it comes to conducting research and outlining case files. She graduated from San Diego State University with her BA in psychology May 2015. She is currently attending California State University, Fullerton as a first year graduate student in the Master of Arts in Experimental Psychology program. Her goal is to apply to PhD programs in the fall to obtain her PhD in Clinical Psychology. Her research interests include behavioral and psychological correlates to suicidality in adolescent girls. Her hope is to work on improving suicide interventions when she gets to a PhD program. Outside of school and work, she likes to spend time with her friends, travel, go on hikes, and play with her cat.
Shouka has received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Chapman University and is now a doctorate student at the California School of Forensic Studies. She has presented research at the 2013 WPA in which her and her colleagues investigated student usage of college health services for the purpose of STI testing. Her undergraduate senior thesis focused on the effects misleading questions have on faulty eyewitness identification. Shouka has done extensive research for Dr. Perrotti in various areas and focuses in psychology, particularly in suggestive police interviewing. She finds particular interest in suggestive police interviewing, false confessions, time judgment and shooting behavior, acculturation of Iranians, and many other areas. Once Shouka completes her doctorate program she would like to become a Victims Specialist.
Krista Kelly is a former research/administrative assistant to Michael J. Perrotti, Ph.D. She is responsible for collecting and organizing research in Dr. Perrotti's health disciplines such as neurology, psychometrics, internal medicine, psychological testing and behavioral sciences in addition to civil, family law, and criminal areas. Her work involves helping with organization of services to patients and communicating with legal and health care experts. She is an undergraduate student at Chapman University. She is pursuing a major in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration and plans to attend graduate school to ultimately become a Forensic Psychologist. Krista takes particular interest in areas such as evaluations of sexual offenders, sanity, criminal intent, false confessions, and many other areas. In addition to her work, she dedicates a great deal of time to her figure skating career. Krista has skated for 16 years and is currently competing on behalf of the U.S. as a synchronized figure skater.
Kelly is a former research assistant for Dr. Michael Perrotti, focusing on areas related to Clinical Psychology and the Law such as, false confessions, eye witness testimony, child attachment, and coercive interrogation tactics. She graduated with her B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton. She is currently working on her Education Specialist Degree in Chapman University's School Psychology Graduate program. Kelly also works as a behavior assistant in the Fullerton School District, working in a special education classroom that specializes in emotional disturbance. She is primarily interested in studying effective school based interventions and counseling techniques for students with Disruptive, Impulse-Control, and Conduct Disorders.
